An Innovative Way To Pack Up Soup For Take-Out In A Restaurant.

Yesterday, September 6th, was my husband's and my 12th wedding anniversary. We decided to eat lunch at our favourite Danish restaurant, the one where we got married, and where my family has been celebrating life since they came to Canada in 1957. My best friend loves Italian wedding soup. So do I, not only because it's good, but because it reminds me of a Danish meat ball and dumpling soup I like, made with chicken broth. Since hubby and I were there anyway, i told her I'd bring her home some. I even called ahead to make sure they had it, before promising to get extra. I remember going there a couple of times before, and hey'd run out. The waiter who prepared the soup did something very innovative. He put it into a plastic container, ice cold! He gave us a separate little baggie of frozen meatball and dumplings, for our friend to heat up in her own microwave. We thought this was brilliant, not only for the sealed plastic container, but because the soup was COLD! We all knew it wouldn't be eaten for several hours, so serving it hot would have been useless. I can't even get hot won ton soup from the Chinese restaurants here. By the time they get here they've cooled off, and we have to re-heat them anyway. What do you think of this idea? Have you ever heard of a restaurant serving take-out soup orders this way?

first of all happy wedding anniversary to you both. it's a good thing and here it's available on both way like some people cant reach home so early that they can drink it hot so they tell a person who takes order that give separate thing which they can mix later at home by doing hot. people who live near take it hot so they do not need to do hot again. its better to cool it at a restaurant before putting into plastic containers.
