1921 - The first Miss America Pageant was held in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
2017 - Equifax announced an identity theft event potentially affecting 145.5 million consumers!
1936 - Buddy Holly was born. He was an American singer/songwriter and guitarist. He was lead singer for Buddy Holly and the Crickets for two years before going solo. Some of his famous recordings: That'll Be the Day and Peggy Sue. Holly was tragically killed in a small plane crash in 1959 at the age of 23. Also killed in the plane crash was the pilot, Roger Peterson, J. P. Richardson (The Big Bopper) and Richie Valens of "La Bamba" fame.
1947 - Gloria Gaynor was born. She is an American singer and songwriter. She is best known for her disco mega-hit, I Will Survive. Other hits: Never Can Say Goodbye, Oh Boy and It's So Easy.
1978 - Keith Moon passed away. He was born in 1946. He was an English drummer for the band, The Who, famous for the rock opera Tommy soundtrack. One of the well known cuts from this album is Pinball Wizard.

What a shame. Try planting a butterfly bush. The hummingbirds like that too.

@LindaOHio I have lots of native plants for butterflies, you would think those would also attract the hummingbirds.
