Today Is the 169th birthday of California

On September 7.1850 California became a state! I had to run down to old town to get some groceries, I took a couple of pictures!
We’re having Tamales for dinner tonight because Little Miss wasn’t sure what they were so we will see if she likes them.
I am still dealing with some muscle issues but I still have to make sure everyone has food to eat, and a clean house, though I’m definitely up to my standards!
I think I’ll take a bit of a break before starting dinner!

I would have thought California is much older than that. Hope you feel much better soon. Hope Little Miss enjoys the tamales. Make her laugh and play her the Hot Tamale song

Technically it is, but it was signed into Statehood until 1850 before that it was a province of Mexico!
