This story Is very interesting since a Millersburg Ohio Head Start school teacher named Brenda Simpson played a $20 dollar lottery ticket called Fabulous Fortune which made her $5 million dollars richer after the drawing on August 29.
Brenda's fellow teachers asked her if she plans to step down from her teaching job now that she is in possession of a small fortune after she collects the net lottery prize money after the Federal and state taxes are paid up from the gross amount of the winnings.
Brenda has asked her husband to retire from his job since she won the prize money. That will be interesting to see if Brenda's husband will honor the request of his wife or not.
Brenda has the option to accept a lump sum of the $5 million dollars or accept $250,000 for the next 20 years.
In my view, Brenda will likely be asked by close friends and relatives to bai them out since they are likely down on their luck in terms of money.
I am only hoping that Brenda uses her skills to take her of new found winnings not that she won a huge lottery payoff which can either make or beak anyone.

Wouldn't it be risky to continue working, knowing that she won? And everyone will know her work of employment.

That is what I am thinking since she will have plenty of people asking her to donate money to them since they are broke.

If she's fairly young, she'd be wise to continue working. $5 million after taxes is good for sending your children to college and doing a lot of good; but whether it could weather lasting until both are 80 is doubtful.

I believe that Brenda is around her late 20s in terms of age when she won the lottery.

I think planning not to step down from teaching profession is good idea .. moreover money comes and go .. as money can be with you today and by tomorrow with someone

She is kind of young so retirement is out of the question at this time. She can use her lottery winnings to assist people in need in her hometown as well as her family.
