On a baking binge

I've been baking a lot lately. It's not my first time to bake, but for some reason, I caught the bug again and have been baking breads and cookies like crazy. My husband and kids are nuts over my oat raisin and chocolate chip cookies.
I made another batch of mini chocolate chip cookies yesterday with the help of my daughters so they can have cookies to bring to school today. They're actually quite hesitant to bring the cookies to school because they're afraid that their classmates would pounce on their precious cookies. LOL.
Well, I'm taking a break from the oven today because I have a spiritual recollection to attend later. Tomorrow I plan to make raisin quick bread and banana bread. I just have to remember to get more butter and a new bottle of vanilla extract.

I also like oatmeal raisin cookies. I used to like to bake but then I would eat and would get fat. My oven is old and so do not bake anymore. If want to have something sweet then I buy it.

LOL. i think that's what usually happens. i also end up eating very little of what i bake because i get tired of tasting it every time.

Baking can be relaxing as well as enjoyable. Yes, I like to bake.

you are so right, valerie. i find baking both relaxing and enjoyable. and i get a high when people say that my baked goods are delish.
