How To Scare The Heck Out Of A Hacker!

I have a mixed bag of friends on Facebook. Some I know In Real Life, and have known for years, others I've met on line, and others are friends of friends whom i've met under great conversations. In all three cases I've made some dear friends for life.
Well tonight one of my friends got hacked; not just any friend, but an old radio club pal whom I've known since the turn of the century. He started "chatting" with me in Facebook messenger. It was not an overly personal convo, just started out as small talk. Believed me, this guy would've opened with something a lot more familiar than "hi, how are you?"
I decided to play with him a bit, and started asking him questions about the radio station, certain dates, and without revealing any names, if he could identify some people we know. The guy came back with "LOL, are you kidding?" That was my answer right there!!!
There were no attachments involved, and no links were clicked/ The guy will probably know better than to try that crapola with me again.
Have you had a similar experience? How did you handle it?

Thanks, and glad you've never been through it. If it ever happens to you, ask as many personal questions as possible.

I hope the hacker isn't your friend anymore. You deserve better.
