Kids are staying home tomorrow

I just learned a few minutes ago that our counties school has a threat of a school shooting tomorrow. 9/11 how freaking great! I showed my husband and asked him what should we do send or keep the kids. With out of use growing up in the times of several school shootings we both agree to be cautious and keep our older two home from school.
The list of school under investigation and they will be doing home calls at 5am. Sorry with or without that call my kids are staying with me. My husband anxiety is now up I know he’ll feel better with his babies being with us.

@Hannihar there was a threat a few days before this one to one high school. So another kid at another school thought it would be funny to spread a word via social media that another was coming. Several hours did the polices questioning students just came back as a rumor that another high schooler made up.

So what was that threat about? I am glad it was fine for them. I had someone when I was little call up my house and ask for me and threatened me and did not want to go to school the next day. Went and nothing happened but that is not funny to me when someone does that.

They went today. Since no evidence and it’s day 3 is this threat over all to one of the high schools. I’m going to have faith that extra cops presence and that it’s a Terrible joke for stupid teen.

I sent them in since the rumors had no evidence of actually harm. The kids went and came back like any other day. High schoolers that made the rumors where talk to and dealt with.

This society is sure sick. I don't understand why anyone wants to shoot up anything, especially schools.

Our places have never been safe they are only more talked about because we have social media. There are many school shootings that actually never make the news. I’m glad our county is taking it seriously are working through the night to find the person.
As of 1am they decided to increase school patrols as a parent I don’t like this and still want to keep the kids home. Their will be a call at 5am or 6am with further information to all of our county. The county I live in big there is more then 20 schools as or word only high school was mention but I’m being cautious and sticking with the babes staying home.

@Janet357 as someone who grew up a few hours from Colombians those kids where crazy and need medical assistance yes they do get hold of parents weapon but they where bullied and then pushed to there breaking.
The threat was made by high schools 12 shooters, 12 schools. Right now there is a cop stationed at each school. Doors are always locked inside classes only today probably for safety.
