Little League World Series champions get a nice reward

In all of the years that the Little League World Series has been played, no team from the state of Louisiana has ever brought home a title.
That changed this year when a Little League Baseball team from River Ridge which is a suburb of New Orleans turned the trick by beating a team from Curacao in the finals of the tournament by a final score of 8-0.
The Little League World Series Champions for the calendar year of 2019 were invited to visit the Governor's Mansion in Baton Rouge to meet John Bel Edwards and eat some fried chicken sandwiches as their reward for their amazing effort to win the Little League World Series this year.
The meeting with Governor Edwards took place on Sunday after they returned from Williamsport Pennsylvania which must have been one huge thrill for the kids from River Ridge who made Louisiana fans of baseball proud.

Any other place you'd have to worry about feeding kids spicy food. Not in Louisiana. Baby formula has hot sauce in it. 
Very nice act by the governor, and something that'll hopefully stay with the kids for a lifetime.

The Louisiana team played a very good game of baseball in the Little League World Series. They deserved to have their rewards showered upon them from the Governor of the state and other officials.
