The Mystery of The Olesen Family

I first heard about the Olesen family in an episode of Unsolved Mysteries when I was young. Their story always terrified & fascinated me simultaneously. Several members of the Olesen family have been struck by lightning over multiple generations. It sounds like something straight out of a sci-fi flick, but it's true. What interests me most is not the fact that it's happened, I'm more interested in science finding out the why.

I know there's a scientific explanation for that. Some people have some illness or some strange chemical component in their body that attracts lightning.

@yanzalong Some people speculate there is something actually in their biology that attracts the lightning, but no definitive answer has been found that I'm aware of.

That's actually really interesting. I haven't heard of this story, but it's actually quite interesting.

That is pretty misterious indeed. Perhaps it is in their fate or they are made of metal, which attracts lightning
