This morning when I took a Lyft to work, I got a driver who was super talkative. At one point I dropped my phone on the floor of his car, and thought, "I have to remember to pick that up when I get out."
So of course, when he dropped me off at work, I thought, "Ah! I left my phone in his car!" as he was driving away.
I figured I would get online when I got home and report it to Lyft's lost and found on their website.
Well, halfway through the day, I answered the phone and it was the Lyft driver, asking me if I'd left my phone in his car. He thought the person he'd picked up after me had left it, but when he went to them with it, they said it wasn't theirs.
So, he asked what time I got off work, as he was then a few towns away, and what was my address because if he didn't make it in time he'd drop it by.
I told him, and went through my day. He didn't make it by five, so I came home and did things.
So, around 7:15 p.m. I was sitting here at the computer and heard a knock. Sure enough, there the driver was with my phone. Needless to say, he is going to get a good tip !
