World Car Free Day

I learned something new today, and that is today 22nd September is what is known as World Car Free Day. Apparently , this is the one day of the year when we are not supposed to use our cars. I wonder how many people try not to use their cars today. Will you be using yours?

@TheGreater It would be nice if they did. What make of car would you choose if you could get one for free. I think that I would choose one of the new electric cars that I would never be able to afford in real life.

I do not have a car. I have a mobility scooter and did not use it today because did not need it.

One time there were not many but now there are lots of them. For me it took time to get used to it but now I could not do without it.

I see lots of people in mobility scooters these days, are they easy to use?

@Starkinds It would be interesting to see if people could give up using their cars for a whole day. But I doubt if many will in the UK today because after many weeks of sunshine , it is now raining very hard.

I did not know about it either until this morning when I visited a website where they were running a poll to see if people would be willing to give up using their car for one day.
