I think husbands should help in the housework. I mean wives shouldn't do all the work around the house. My ex used to cook and do dishes. He would also make the bed sometimes and help clean house when friends came over.

Yes I believe they should as it is not easy to run a House specially when you have little ones to I know as I was running a House looking after the Kids and working my Ex did not think to help around the House ever

it sure isn't easy if you do everything yourself. reminds me of that song that goes, "I'm not a superwoman...".

Men should most definitely do their share of the housework. I think it should be a 50/50 split. They live there, they help mess things up...why shouldn't they clean up?

My husband is amazing like that...mind you he got a real eye opener early on in our relationship..when I was preg with our son he sent me to St.Lucia with a friend of mine to visit 'family' and he stayed at my place with my kids ages 3 and 5 at the time...he realized how much work it is keepin house and raising children after that...He's always been great on helping around the house (minus cooking if i can help it cause he's not a great cook at all) doin laundry, the dishes etc and thats on top of him working 70 hours a week....I think men should help out around the house...same with the kids actually...its everyones home so everyone should pitch in :D

guess, we're just lucky to have picked out men who don't put importance on the macho image, huh?

Sounds like quite a catch. :P I lived with my boyfriend for a little while, and he's more organized and clean than me. He vacuums and cooks sometimes, and cleans up the random napkins that I leave laying around (I have this weird habit of saving napkins in strange places. He even found one inside his pillowcase once but I don't know how that got there, honest!) There's no reason why men SHOULDN'T help out around the house.

uh-huh. i just thought that there are still men out there who refuse to do the work for the reason that it's a woman's job!
