A school custodian's bond with a special needs child is priceless

My respects go to Melba Passmore Elementary School custodian known by her name Mrs. Esther. I do not know if Mrs. Esther has any experience working with children with special needs or not. However her friendship with Passmore 4th grade student Kenlee who suffers from autism is priceless since according to Kenlee's mother Hollie, Mrs. Esther is one the person that her daughter hugs every time she sees her favorite custodian in school. A person inside the school cafeteria took a picture of Mrs. Esther comforting Kenlee who was having a hard day when she decided to lay down on the floor in the cafeteria near a stage. Mrs. Esther came to comfort Kenlee by placing a blanket over her head and laying down next to her in a way of telling Kenlee that her best friend is close by to attend to her needs of being comforted. All I can say is if the world had more custodians who have the kind heart of compassion and warmth of Mrs. Esther, schools around the world would have a great reputation of being safe places to get an education. Do not judge a custodian on the basis of their line of work. Judge them over the friendship they make with the students they care for.

The only time I read anything about a custodian that he was arrested for raping a female student in Texas a long time ago.
