National Lobster Day
1890 - Sequoia National Park is established.
1977 - 4,200 people took part in the first Chicago Marathon.
1929 - Barbara Walters was born. She was an American journalist, producer and author. She has since retired. She hosted the Today show, The View, 20/20 and the ABC Evening News.
1944 - Michael Douglas was born. He is an American actor and producer and elder son of Kirk Douglas. Some of his movies: Romancing the Stone, Jewel of the Nile, A Chorus Line, Fatal Attraction, Wall Street, The War of the Roses, Basic Instinct, Ant-Man and Behind the Candelabra. He is currently starring in The Kominsky Method on television.
1947 - Cheryl Tiegs was born. She is an American model, actress and fashion designer. She is described as being the first American supermodel. She has appeared several times on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and Time magazine.

Got an email from Red Lobster that they were offering 1-1/4 lb. lobsters for $19.99 each just for Lobster Day. My husband wanted to go! He LOVES lobster; and that's a lot cheaper than their normal price.
