It was 1981 and The Rolling Stones were set for a U.S. Tour playing at the JFK Stadium in Philadelphia, PA. They were sponsored by Jovin the fragrance company who created musk. They didn’t have to wear the fragrance or even endorse it but the official tour logo was the Jovan logo with the Stones lips and tongue sticking out of the O. Jovin was the first fragrance company that sold natural musk which was made with secretions of male musk deer. During this year the scent was very popular among young men, therefore, the company knew that associating their musk with The Rolling Stones gave them an edge over their competitors such as Faberge. As a result of the sponsorship the tour went off with no problems and grossed around $52 million. The Rolling Stones had it with scent and when they went on their next world tour they were sponsored by Budweiser. The same year Jovin took things even further and also sponsored Kenny Rogers and introduced two new scents inspired by the singer – The Gambler and Lady. Have you ever tried the musk scent or heard about the Rogers scents?

That was a nice piece of information about the Rolling stones and the Rogers Scents! In fact we get used to get natural musk in India so I think I hardly used this scent when I was young!
