Friday after school my older two kids had there Color Walk. They did really good as a school all the kids raise $19,000 which was over there goal. The goal was $15,000. The kids did 11 laps around the school parking lot. They got color chalk thrown at them which was one one side of the parking lot so it wasn’t thrown all over the places.
Once our kids finished there walk at 4pm, we took them to sign out and get their Italian ices. The older two got theirs for free and our little one had to pay $2 which we brought him money to do.

That's interesting. I'm sure your children must be so excited during the event, and they could raise much money which is over their goal.

Color walk is type of Walk. The school does an annual Walkathons which the kids do as an activie. Before the walk the days leading up to they ask around where they live for people to sponsor them in there walk and to donate money to there school.

That was an interesting way to raise money. I think $15,000 is a high amount to raise however them raising £19.000 blew me away. It must have been delightful to run around the school parking lot having colored chalk thrown at them. Well done to all parents for giving so much. It is lovely your older two got free Italian ices. I am pleased your little one got one for $2.

@ShyBear88 I see it is a smaller school yet you all raised a large amount of money. My daughters PTA give 5 pounds per child for the school trips that they go on. It is great that 336 children took place.

@maximax8 I think a lot of people donate for the walk since the kids are walking and you can give as little or as much as you want and it’s taxable.

We have a set goal that is parents and PTA approve the money goes towards that school year and what they kids will be doing or what upgrades that we will do. We are smaller school but 336 kids walked in the walk this year and many kids raised lots of money as a whole.

That sounds like a fun event and I'm glad they raised so much money. What will it be used for?

The money goes to different school things. Upgrade to have shade over the park while then kids play, computers, and a few PTA family events we have.
