I brought this book for a friend of mine who has recently moved house and she is looking for ideas on how to decorate it. Of course her home is nothing like the sort of homes that are portrayed in this book, but there are lots of lovely pictures of all sorts of different shaped and sized rooms. I think this book should give her some ideas on colour schemes and furniture arrangement.

Even though her house is nothing like the ones in the book she can still decorate it the way she wants it to be her own home.

I saw her house the other day and she is getting on well with it. She has gone for light neutral colours on the walls so that she can put more colour into the room with the soft furnishings and furniture etc.

This sounds a great book. However, there are many elegant and one of kind furniture this day that your friend can find to create fresh and unique decorations.

It is a great book with lots of useful ideas .My friend has nearly finished her decorating now and she has made her new home `her own' and done a really good job of it.

Your friend might like what we did. Wallpaper just one wall in our lounge. There is sea blue paint on all the other walls. I point my sofa in a way that I can see my front garden. I have flooring that looks like wood however isn't and it is more hard wearing. I hope that the book gives her some ideas.

Definitely, the house within the book is extravagant... Or they have a simpler one?

The homes in the book are all different sizes. Normally these sort of interiors books tend to focus on large houses owned by rich people who have lots of money to spend on this sort of thing. They also use products that are too expensive for most ordinary people to buy.
