First quote from this book

I've talked about my quote journal before. It is a hardback book that I keep all of my favorite quotes from books in. I do not always find quotes that I like, and I don't always think about it either. However, I'm reading The Nature of Monsters by Clare Clark and have found a quote that I loved so much I had to record it. I am also going to share it here with you. Tell me what you think of the quote. "I assure you, sir, that my wife is as obedient and dutiful as any man might wish and is invariably in agreement with me. It is simply" he added, with a twinkle in his eye, "that I am not always cognisant of my views upon certain matters until she informs me of them." Do you copy down quotes that you like?

I think that is a great tongue in cheek quote. I do write down quotes that strike a chord with me.

Yes, exactly! I have to have a reaction to a quote for me to write it down. Whether it be a laugh, a sob, or just a smile.

At first I thought the book was somewhat like a Frankenstein type but it doesn't appear that way now.

I did that a lot in my younger years as well. I remember in the 90's it used to be popular to put a quote as your signature on things like emails or messenger apps.
