Chick peas for lunch... / myLot

It's good afternoon here.I have boiled chickpeas for lunch ...I let the boiled for two hours and they are now done.. Canned chickpeas also available here but they are costly.. I will add some spices and crackers on it...and enjoy in our lunch.

Boiling it for 2 hours!!! That's a lot of time and fuel consumption. I try to use pressure cooker while boiling pulses whenever I can. It saves time.

Yeah it is...but here in my family we avoid using pressure cooker as it's dangerous...once I was toddler my aunt was using pressure cooker and it burst she picked me and ran outside the kitchen.

@amnabas OK, but it takes lot of fuel to cook for 2hrs on gas stove, right?
