It’s Maddening

After all I have done for Little Miss, after all the money I have spent on her, making sure she had the things she needed to be shoved to the side over a stupid app, and what’s going on with her Mother! I am still paying for big brothers phone bill because he was not the one who did anything wrong, and unfortunately everyone seems to cater to Little Miss, I understand that he is older but I don’t think that others should stop doing for him, but for now I am not going out of my way to make sure Little Miss has what she needs, and in fact will be donating the toys she doesn’t touch anymore to either charity or the church! If she was hungry of course I’d make sure she had food, and if she needed clothes I’d make sure of that too but the extras are just not necessary anymore, especially when she acts like this. I miss the way she was before, this whole preteen, hormonal attitude, I’m invincible, no one can hurt me thing sucks! I’m done with it, so done with it!

So sorry your feelings were hurt. That happens sometimes. Taking a break maybe will help.

@CarolDM Yes I do, and she’ll understand someday this was for her safety, for now though I’ll just pray she’s not putting herself in danger!

Definitely am doing that! I’m sure she’ll come around eventually, her Mothers actions are what worries with me...

Hormones and girls are a terrible thing. She will come back someday but it could be a while. I am sorry if this causes you pain. As the grandmother of 10, I can certainly sympathize.

@Michellekidwell Girls at this age are almost universally difficult, but as soon as they mature, it usually rights itself.

I know exactly how you feel, I raised 2 that was not mine and when 13 and 15 I was no longer needed. I let them go. Yes it does hurt.

It truly does, especially when you watch them being reckless and can do nothing about it!

Yes, but more concerned that she’s going to put herself in a situation that will allow her to get hurt!

I can sense how she hurt you. don't worry she is still your blood and flesh, anger and pain will subside sooner or later.
