Guess the Situation in the USA is 'So Bad'

Well! It's time for another session of me talking to myself and putting everybody else to sleep. For those who listen to American news reports then you know there is a lot of brew ha ha about our current president asking a foreign country for help with investigating one of his political rivals who might be guilty of corruption and wrongdoing. This particular foreign country is a long time “not so friendly” country. In other words, regards U.S. foreign affairs and policy, this nation is not on the list with the allies. IN THE NEWS, people who have a microphone get up in the president's face and in anybody's face who's got something to say about it and ask: Do you think it's RIGHT to ask a foreign country, particularly a country who is NOT our ally, for “help”? Uh oh! It's not one of those black and white issues. It's RIGHT or WRONG! To borrow a phrase I heard in the debates, from several of the candidates who are vying for the 2020 Democratic nomination for POTUS. “Let's be clear about this!” * * * OK. This is what I can clearly see. America often asks foreign countries for assistance. Usually, those countries are our allies. I remember one time in an interview when our current president was asked IF he would ever run for POTUS. His response was (something to the effect) … “Only if the situation in American BECAME 'so bad' that he felt like he needed step in and fix things.” I am guessing the current situation in the USA can be described as “so bad”. Because you know … sometimes … the situation in a country is “so bad”, you just have to be like Captain Janeway and ... jump into bed with The Borg!! I mean … What can this “one nation under God” do?
