When they took the shingles off during the roof tear-off, the owner said that he could see the bathtub in the bathroom through the hole in the roof. The wood had all rotted through the roof and through the ceiling in the bathroom. They replaced the roof portion of the wood. The bathroom ceiling (and the bedroom ceiling and 2nd bedroom wall) will be the job of another contractor. The roof is done, looks good; and it can rain all it wants to now. They also cleaned out the gutters and secured them where needed. We will have to see if this solves the problem of water getting into the room off the garage. I don't know if my husband will get to making a decision about the contract haulers soon enough so that we can get the house cleared out next week. We shall see. Photo Credit: Pixabay
