The Universe or God

The universe and God. Are they both the same? I ask myself this question all of the time. I do believe in the law of attraction, thoughts become things, negative attracts more negative, etc... Some people say we are God, some people say God doesn't exist, it's so hard to know the truth. Of course I believe in a HIGHER POWER but it's just so confusing.

"The universe and God. Are they both the same?" IMHO and in what I personally believe in, one is the Creator and the other one only a creation of the former.

I like what you said, but can you break it down? Who is the first creator, and which one was around longer? This would be perfect for those who are on a spiritual path, but are lost.

@Deegoddess let me put it simply, you ask something from your parents, your parents grants your wish and you are satisfied. Given that scenario although your parents gave you what you wanted it does not make them God for you to worship lol, God facilitated it, he also created your parents. Following the above, some people ask from the Universe through law of attraction, so let's say their wish was granted, it does not make them, the law of the attraction nor the universe itself God, God created all of them so I would personally put God at a much higher level.

I agree, but, what do we tell ourselves, so that we can have faith in something GREATER if we don't know the TRUTH yet?

I also believe that God (Jehovah) is the Creator of all things. The universe is just one of God's creations. Genesis 1:1 (American Standard Version) 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

God and the universe are two different things. God created the universe for His children's benefit. The universe's time based causal nature is Perfect for learning. As for the law of attraction, it doesn't work quite that way. God returns our actions back to us in order we might understand what our actions really mean. Bad choices can bring hard lessons, while good choices return the goodness we give the world and others. This process not only brings us understanding of everything, it teaches us to Love Unconditionally. After all what everyone wants to return is Unconditional Love. It will take many many lifetimes for most to figure this one out.
