Knit Vintage

I found this book recently in a charity shop and I am really glad that I did. For a start it is a visually pleasing book and it contains twenty knitting patterns all of vintage clothes that you can make yourself.
This would be a very useful book for anybody who liked vintage style clothes and enjoyed knitting clothes for themselves or other people. I must admit that I have not done any knitting for many years now, but buying this book has given me an idea that I would like to take up knitting again. So over the winter, I will probably pass the long cold evenings by doing a bit of knitting. That is if I can still remember how to do it !

I know that knitting used to be popular, but that was when it was cheaper to make your own clothes.

@Hannihar I think it is because they have other interests now , and because it is an expensive hobby, by the time you have brought the pattern and the wool it would be cheaper to buy the clothes ready made. Also, people do not make their own clothes as much as they did in the past.

Many people have taken up knitting as a hobby because they find it relaxing.
