British baking show

Here lately I have been watching The Great British Baking Show on Netflix. I am on the 7th season now. I really enjoy watching it, all the contestants on there can bake things that I would only dream of. Even some of the things that the judges don't think is good enough looks good most of the time. I would hate to know what they would say about some of the cakes, pies and other deserts that I make, of course I don't bake that often either. Being an American and this being a British baking show, there are some things that are confusing to me. Like their measurements, sponges and what they call biscuits. The first time I heard them say that contestants had to make so many biscuits, I was thinking they were making what I've always known as biscuits, a type of bread that we eat with a meal or eat with it having jelly or something else between it. What they call biscuits to me looks like different types of cookies or snack cakes. As far as the sponge I have never made one and wouldn't know were to start. The main part that I like on there is the challenge where the contestants has to make one of the judges own recipes. Although they are given the directions, some things are left out, like how long to bake or cook something,or on what temperature. The thing I really like though, is when the time is up, all of the bring their dish to the table at the front, the judges does not know who which one because they are made to leave before the contestants start baking and card with their pictures and name are facing away from the judges. To me, I think it makes it more fair. I really think they should do that one Master Chief. Does anyone else on here watch this, if so what do you think of it
