I am watching a documentary about the origins and innovators of freestyle motocross. The freestyle thing started kind of as an underground subculture as I understand it. It was a rebellion against the strict rules and dry image of traditional corporate sponsored motorcycle racing. Some people have called freestyle moto the "punk rock" of motorcycle racing. Whatever you want to call it, it's pretty awesome.
