Just A Needed Rant

These days, if you are friends with someone who doesn't share your views, some overly sensitive whiners may jump down your throat about it.
They may even claim that being friends with people who don't see or do things exactly like you do makes you a hypocrite, which is nonsense.
A hypocrite is actually someone who professes to believe something they really don't. Ignorant people shouldn't throw around words they don't know the meaning of.
Anyway, there is absolutely nothing wrong with being friends with people who may disagree with you.
My wife and I have been married since 2012, and we don't always agree on things, but we Love each other in spite of the fact that we don't always see eye to eye.

People really need to educate themselves, we would live in a dull wotlrld if we all shared the same opinion on everything!

Amen. I saw an article about people jumping on Ellen DeGeneres because she shared a booth with former President George W. Bush at a football game, to the point where she actually had to go on her show and DEFEND herself! I love what she said: I’m friends with a lot of people who don’t share the same beliefs that I have. We’re all different, and I think we’ve forgotten that that’s okay, that we’re all different.” She concluded by saying, ”When I say be kind to one another, I don’t mean only the people that think the same way that you do. I mean be kind to everyone.”
Bravo for her. If someone else wants to pass out a litmus test sheet (“Let me know how you stand on these issues/this music/these books before I can decide if I’ll talk to you”), that’s their problem. There’s too much hate in the world. I choose to not participate in that problem.

We've been married for 49 years. If a disagreement was a basis for our relationship to turn bad, we would have been split up long ago!
