Animals - House of the Rising Sun

Another favorite band of the 1960s was the Animals. They were an English rhythm and blues rock band. Some of their biggest hits: House of the Rising Sun (see below), We Gotta Get Out of This Place, It's My Life, I'm Crying and Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood. In the mid 60s there were changes in the group; and they moved to California as Eric Burdon and the Animals and became a psychedelic and hard rock bank. Some of their hits: San Francisco Nights, When I Was Young and Sky Pilot. They disbanded by 1970. They had a brief comeback in 1975 and 1983. Photo Credit: Wikimedia Commons

They actually have two versions of this song and of course it has been covered by another group as well. The two versions that The Animals did were good though. One is about the "poor boy" and one about the woman working in the house of the rising sun.

In 1960 i borned so i never have any idea about this group as in 1983 this group was never promoted in India then!
