Last Friday I had a handyman put together some flat packed furniture. He arrived around one late. Today he might be arriving two hours late. If he begins work at 12.30 and three hours will end at 15.30. I need to leave my home at 14.30 to collect my disabled son from school. What do you think? How has any work gone on your home?

I noticed the date you posted this. Right now, our own son won't even come into our house to protect us from the virus. No handyman is welcome either.

Then you should count the hours he worked to be fair to you.

I will have to leave while he is still working. Then I will pay him when my son comes home with me.

Yes when I first moved in this dump, there was so much the slumlord would not do and some I could not do, so I paid a guy and he was brilliant and not late.

Do you have a contact number of him. You can inform him you need to pick up your son at a certain time. Maybe he will adjust.

I already phoned him and is working around one hour away. He knows that I need to pick up my son from school. I don't want him to cancel and not come over at all.

I also experience the same lately and what I did was canceled the whole appointment because I have more important things to do outside.

That must have been annoying to miss the whole appointment. I feel nervous as he still hasn't arrived. If he gets here at 12.30 then okay/ Any later than he will see my daughter coming home from school.
