Spotting a Thief

This morning while lining for the cashier in a mall, I noticed a man who inched his way between me and the woman in front of me. He seemed to be looking intently on the small items displayed near the cashier.
He kept on tinkering on the items like nail cutters, key chains, etc. but he did not pick one as expected from customers. He transferred from one cashier to another; so I thought he is looking for an unconscious or busy customer who does not care if their bags are opened like the woman ahead of me in the line.
The security guards should be alert in spotting such persons with ill intents to unsuspecting victims.

Yes and the man was so big and he appeared to be decent_looking.

@acelawrites thief and robbers nowadays dresses as we would see a regular office person. I remember one time, there was this guy who goes with the commuter to ride jeepney or bus but he will open the bags of some unsuspecting commuters infront of him

The store management should have been told so he can be watched for his every move through the CCTv and be apprehended when he is caught getting things or robbing shoppers.

Nice to see you again, my friend! Yes, but I did not know if he had victimized someone because he was still there roaming near the cashiers when we went out the mall.
