Sad Coinsidence

A few days back I deleted someone from my Facebook friends. Every now and again a name comes up in Birthdays that I don't recognize. I deleted a name, not a person.
My son sent me a message last night to ask if I had heard of a homicide that occurred recently in a town to our north. I had and told him so. He then told me it was his good friend that was killed. And then, he told me the name. It was the person I deleted from Facebook. He further went on to say that his friend was killed on his birthday. I could sense my son's deep sorrow. And now I shared the sorrow with him.
I never met the young man whose life was taken so short. I pray for his family, and for my son. May they all heal from this tragedy so they may go on.

I feel such heartache for my son. When he connects with a person,he connects deep.

There usually isn't much crime here and when things like this happen, it really tears me apart.

He was not suffering. In fact his life was turning around.
