Words cannot describe the joy that Katheryn Strang went through recently when she went to an animal shelter in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania from her home in Florida to reunite with her lost Fox Terrier who is now 14 years of age. Katheryn admitted that after her pet ran away from her home in Florida in February 2007 after her son accidently left the back door open in the backyard, that she was sad but she did not give up hope that one day she would reunite with her pet one day. The mystery is how did Dutchess wind up from living in Florida and winding up in Pittsburgh during her 12 years away from her owner is not clear what happened. Dutchess was located underneath a shed in Carnegie by a concerned citizen who brought the dog to an animal shelter recently. Since Dutchess was microchipped, the officials of the animal shelter were able to contact Katheryn to tell her the good news. Katheryn drove the distance of 10 hours from Florida to Pittsburgh to reunite with her dog. Now Dutchess will return home with Katheryn where she will live out the remainder of her days with two other Fox Terriers in her home in Florida.

I know how she feels not having the services of her pet for 12 years that are gone for good.

Incredible! Misty never had a chip but Luna has one. I do hope she doesn´t wander about.

I hope not since a lost pet during the Halloween season could have negative consequences.

@marguicha That is good since there are some evil people that want to kidnap dogs for doing evil rituals.

I believe that dogs have great memories of seeing their owners after a long period of separation.

That is true since seeing a dog after missing for over 12 years is a wonderful story.

A very happy ending and now she must spend the rest of the dog's years loving her and pampering her
