Mixed Marriage

I went to church this morning and shocked to hear from the Priest that he handled marriage between a Catholic and a Protestant. He said they had a permission from the Bishop.
He claimed to improve his homily then since they were protestants who attended the wedding.
But some how a bit shamed because he saw Catholics at the reception lining up on the cater irresponsibly.
Anyways, the rest of it was more about being Grateful and Thankful to God.
It was hot and sunny morning.

It is my understanding that the protestant has to sign a document agreeing to raise any children from the marrriage as Catholic.

@Letranknight2015 Even if both parties are Catholic, they have to agree to it. At least, they did when I got married.

Hello @shaggin That must be hard. I know some one right now who married a non catholic and it's pretty stressful on her part.

@Letranknight2015 I believed in god and went to church and my husband was an Atheist. It did bug me but religion was just something we didn’t talk about knowing it wouldn’t go well. Later on when we split up I stopped believing in god to after not liking a lot of things I read in the Bible.

Over here they have no issues with marrying outside their religion.

It won't affect their marriage if they truly understand and respect each other's beliefs.
