No Hidden Treasures

Finally, I got the chance to see what's inside with those plastic containers stacked at home. Although, I think that most of the items are not that valuable, I believe that some of the keeps have some emotional value or whichever term is appropriate— you may call it. There are old photos of families, relatives, friends of families and relatives and of people that I do not even know or haven’t met all my life. It also contains letters (yes, the means of communication before the advent of latest technology and gadgets), certificates, documents, old notebooks—including that of my sisters’ elementary years and mine. There are old books, magazines, few old coins, bet slips dated the year before I was born and etc. Unfortunately, there are no hidden treasures. No pot of gold, no cold cash or antique materials to benefit or that can be sold. Sigh! Maybe, those were left during transfer of residence multiple times. Although, the items found does not have that monetary advantage; there are things that I believe no reasons to turn into rubbish— not yet this time. It feels good to reminisce those memories that once were there in the past. The mixed emotions I have caused me yearning. And then I realized that the time actually flies thus fast. Today is the present and therefore to look forward on what’s ahead for tomorrow or in the future is more important— to be productive to gain treasures.
