Just Attended a Public Hearing

I came from a public hearing this afternoon conducted by the local council under the committee of agriculture and food. The said meeting is all about African swine fever awareness and concern. This is part of their effort to make the public more aware about the spread and prevention of the virus since it has already affected some places in the country. Although, there is no detected case yet in our area, they already take measures to prevent the possible entry of the virus in the locality. They already come up an ordinance regarding the matter, created task force, handing information and contacts of the responsible agencies wherein a case is to be reported affecting the swine industry. The public are also cautioned to buy pork meat and meat products in legit sources only to ensure that it underwent quality check and standards before it is made available to the consumers. The security in entry and exit points were also implemented to make it sure that any carrier would be checked before they can pass. How’s your day fellow myLotters?
