My daughter over the weekend got to go to a play worth her Girl Scout troop. They went to watch Anne Green Gable. I’ve never seen it so I asked my daughter what it was about. Wha it got from what she said it was about a girl with red hair. She was adopted and other kids made fun of her for having red hair. They would bully her is what my daughter said. She also told me they had cookies and some sprite to drink. It was also a play that kind of was slow in the story telling so the girls started to get sleepy. But all did well and sat nicely for the play.

@ShyBear88 I have watched Anne with an e Green Gables on Netflix. It was really good but no new episodes. I did not know they did a play of it. The girls looks so nice in regular clothes. I was a brownie and a girl scout.

It's nice that the girl scout troop did this. I've never heard of a scout troop going to a play of any kind.

Girls have more freedom to choice to make a badge or do certain ones. It was a badge that was easy to fill. It went with Serving your community

I recommend the book, Anne of Green Gables. One of my favorites! There is a whole series, following her to college, where she wins academic prizes, and after that gets married to a childhood enemy/friend and they have lots of kids. I have read the entire series several times.

I’m not sure if 8 year olds are ready to read those books just yet.

@petatonicsca it’s not something I typically read. I read more like Paranormal romance stories

@ShyBear88 I was actually recommending it to you. I read it first as a 20-year-old and loved it. It's got a lot of hard words and small print for kids.
