Happy Thanksgiving, Canada!

Well, today was the big day to eat turkey with all the fixings, here in Canada. Americans get their day next month, but we had ours today. Since it's just the two of us, Hubby and I kept it small. He bought some turkey parts at Zehrs, and got some cranberries, and stove-top stuffing. He made some really good mashed potatoes from scratch with the thin skins still on them, just the way we like them, and some gravy. We also had some nice white wine. I was a great dinner for two, and we loved it. How did you all celebrate? Any Canadians outside of Canada celebrating? Anyone celebrating even if you're not Canadian or a member of a Canadian family or group of friends, just because it's a nice excuse to eat turkey and give thanks?

We normally have a small dinner when it is Thanksgiving. All 3 of us do not like turkey, so we just tolerate it for the day and however long the leftovers last.

So cook something else... it's allowed.

@BarBaraPrz Well obviously, but sometimes we do have like turkey drumsticks or something in the freezer. It is more for tradition than anything. If it was my choice I wouldn't want to celebrate the holiday anyway.

Happy Thanksgiving. Here in our country we don’t celebrate it. We have Christmas us our thanksgiving.
