There are lots of occassions being celebrated in a year like valentines day,christmas day,hanukka,thanksgiving and other occasions or holidays. I want to know different occasions in different countries as well. Please let me and the other poster here know more about your favorite occassion and give us some description as to what is it about.

My favorite occasion is Christmas time. Because this is the time for sharing, the time wherein you meet with your family and friends and enjoy each other's company. There is always a warm, cozy feeling when it's Christmas.

The celebrate for no reason occasion...when my So brings me flowers and we go out to eat or he cooks dinner and cleans up after. I never know when it will happen..but his timing is always good. So much more enjoyable than planned events.

My favorite occasion is "Eid-ul-Azha" in which we Muslims buy goats, cows or camels and I love them

I am an indian. We have the different festivals that we celebrate. the main festivals are diwali, holi, rakshabandan, dashera etc. diwali is the main ocassion that time we get lot of vacations and enjoy. this is the lightening day. we enjoy crakers, sweets and gifts..

christmas and new year...coz i share those moments with my family and friends.After xmas & new year dinner we go over to my friends house and exchage gifts.We eat,drink and laugh at what happend to us the year before whether good or bad.I love those moments coz every year there's something different.
