The weather has changed from a very wet day full of wind and rain to a blah one outside. The winds have stripped most of the leaves off of the trees, and everything has that dulled hue. So much for the autumn colours around here! I've been achy and tired of late, and not really wanting to do much. I did finish reading _To Serve Them All My Days,_ by R.F. Delderfield. It's one of my favourite novels, set in a British boarding school between WWI and WWII. Now I am reading a bio about Wallis Simpson, and so far it's fairly interesting. Even the cats aren't doing much, and usually they are playing a mad game of tag about this time of day.

I loved that adaptation, especially the casting. The actor who they found to play Alcock was so precise.

We are having the same kind of day here. There are not many leaves left now.
