Haughty and with a mighty disdain She looked down at her with those cairngorm like eyes With scorn and spite firing out she spat You don´t deserve to be here You don´t deserve to even live To live in this house You have no right No right at all However did my lower lip quiver Did tears fill my eyes? Not me, not one little bit Outwardly I did not show defiance I took it all within Is that the real me eating humble pie Kissing their feet No, not at all But, but I had to work and live there To be able to make ends meet When you have a child to rear You will do most things Do most things you would not usually do I thought to myself go and take a jump Never a thought so true. All my own words and its a true happening something I had to put up with while I was working a long time ago in England. This was in a Hotel not saying where. At first I thought her to be a kind of work mate. Then I thought after how innocent can you be? But I had to raise my child so had to put up with her and her "cairngorm eye".

Well I overcame it in the sense that I had to have money to be able to eat at that time. She was not what I thought her to be and to tell the truth not many others liked her either. She is forgiven and forgotten.

@Janet357 There is more in the happening than the actual experience I found a whole host of friends of the girls who I worked with. One is called Maz she asked me to stay just a bit longer and said I was a really good worker and they all liked me. That to me was worth much more than the spite she was showing that also has to do with another person.

I'm sorry to read you worked under a bossy boss. What colour were her eyes really ? Blue ? Green ? Anyway, I hope you are over it now. I had a boss who shouted at me sometimes, this was the only thing that made me unhappy with my job. I also did the minimum, and told customers to buy somewhere else...(I worked at a store)

I think that they were dark blue not sure as she wore glasses. I was looking at her full in the face when she said all that and wondering what is this woman about and I soon discovered where she was coming from. Very sorry you had a Boss like her too. When we are just workers sometimes we have to put up with things that are not to our liking but she was doing all this from a personal level.

@lovinangelsinstead21 relationships with people at work can cause problems even farther. Yesterday, I went to night shift and on the way I remembered to bring some food with me. I imagined one of the responsible bosses shouts at me for being cheap who doesn't bring food. It happened before. That stop at the store almost made me being late for work. The cashier made a mistake twice with calculating 3.5 (per 100 grams) x 270 grams( of dates) that is 3.5*2.7...
