Have You Been an Arbiter in a Fight?

Have you experienced being a go-between two warring parties; like a family member against another? It is such a hard situation reconciling them over certain issues that need to be clarified among themselves should they have open minds and talk things in a lighter way. Most of the time I find myself in such a situation where I usually "absorb" the negative vibes that each is throwing at another. Sometimes I just wanted to avoid them because it causes mental anguish on me. What do you think?

no, it's hard for me to do that. i can see the pros and cons of both parties but have a hard time expressing it.

Such a big burden indeed. to be caught in-between colliding stones!

I had been the peacemaker in our neighborhood when I was a teenager because I have earned the respect of my contemporaries. But now I seldom do that.

I agree, it is hard to take that role these days when there seems to be a "culture of violence," among people unlike in the olden days!

I think I haven't tried that yet, even at home or in my school before. I just watch them and listen to their arguments.

You are wise in doing it; just listen to the and evaluate each other's arguments.

It is an obligation for us to reconcile those who fight, whether they are our family, our neighbors or others.

It is the most wise thing to do; to be a pacifier!

The only arbitration I’ve had to do was with a couple of students. I avoid drama like the plague.
