Day 78 Promise 107 Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever you go. Have you read a life-changing book, a book that changed how you lived your life, your thoughts and actions? God told Joshua to read and meditate on the law every day. Not only once a day, but morning and night. God promised to prosper him in everything he did and be with him wherever he went. As Christians, do you read God’s Word? Are you familiar with the Word of God? Do you know His promises? Has God changed you from the inside out? Many people who call themselves Christians, haven’t read the Bible, haven’t gone to church, haven’t prayed, and don’t know the simple truth of God’s Word. Reading God’s Word will change your life. It will give you a reason to live. It will change your thoughts and actions. And people will notice the change in you. God didn’t only promise life and prosperity to Joshua and His people if they read and meditated on the law. His promise is to everyone who calls on the name of God, trusts Him, and accepts His Son, Jesus, as Savior and Lord. What do you want for your life? It begins by reading and meditating on God’s Word. Let’s pray: Father, thank you for Your Word, which is a light in the darkness. Help me meditate on Your Word day and night.
