Countdown to Diwali(Or Deepavali)(Festival of Lights)- just a week to go!

So it is just a week to 27th October, when we have our Festival of Lights- Diwali, or Deepavali, which literally translates into the Festival of Lamps or Lights. This is the most important festival of Hindus, and is celebrated not only in India, but by many Indians living abroad from Western world- US/Canada/UK to Australia, South Africa etc. And other religions too celebrate it in India. People meet, greet, share gifts such as sweets and dry fruits. There are prayers and new clothes are worn by many. People also light Firecrackers in celebrations, though that practice is being toned down due to rising Pollution in the recent years. Still, lights and festivities abound. A major practice is cleaning of houses. One has to get out of laziness and clean House thoroughly. Yet this year, there are lots more things and we have been a bit lazy on this front. But I did some cleaning a few days back and today and some more in the next few days. I might also be a bit less active here on some days. So folks, how is Diwali cleaning going?
