Maria Muldaur was born in 1943 (Maria Grazia Rosa Domenica D'Amato) in Greenwich Village, New York City. She is an American folk and blues singer that has been active from 1963 to the present time. She was part of the American folk music revival in the early 1960s.
She recorded "Midnight at the Oasis" in 1973 and continues to record albums in the folk genre.

Loved that song when I was in highschool but I believe it was just a one hit wonder, it's like her signature song and I never heard of her again till now.
