The nickname I would give Homewood Suites Hotel employee Satchel Smith who worked a 32 hour shift by himself in Beaumont Texas due to the flooding from tropical storm Imelda would be "Hercules" due to his ability with the help of some of the 90 guests that were trapped inside the hotel. Many of you were wondering if either his employer or anyone would reward him for doing a task that would make mythical hero Hercules proud of him would come to pass for the 21 year old. Recently the city officials of Beaumont rewarded Satchel with a 2013 Honda Hybrid auto to replace the auto that he lost in the flooding. Smith being a humble person, is very thankful that the city leaders in Beaumont presented him with a new auto for his superb service in the face of a tragic event.

I agree with you that Satchel would have his auto that he lost in the flood was replaced by the Beaumont city leaders for his outstanding work at the hotel which took the stamina of Hercules to pull off.

That was good of him. He probably really needed those wheels.

Satchel needed them since he most likely had a ride to get to work after he lost his auto in the flood.

My pleasure to share a great story where an employee who went beyond the call of duty is rewarded with a new auto to replace the one that he lost in the flooding by city officials.
