Day 79 Promise 108 Joshua 21:43 And the LORD gave unto Israel all the land which he swore to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein. 44 And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he swore unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand. 45 There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass. When you look back over your life, when you consider all the promises you made, did you keep all of them, or did you fall short of your expectations? I think it’s safe to say, you have fallen short. I know I haven’t kept all my promises. It wasn’t because it was deliberate. Life happens preventing you from keeping your promises. However, God doesn’t have the same trouble we have in keeping promises. He kept every promise He made to His people. He told Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the land of Canaan would be their inheritance, and it is. God enabled Israel to defeat their enemies as soon as they left the wilderness and crossed over the Jordan. He divided the land to them according to lot until every tribe had a place in the land. Only when Israel took possession of their land, as God promised, did Israel have peace from her enemies. As Christians, you have the assurance God will keep every promise He gave you. Your assurance is the fact He never failed in any promise He made, but every promise saw fulfillment. What has God promised you? It’s time to take possession of God’s promises. When you trust Him and put your faith in action, God will see His promise fulfilled in your life. He will open doors for you to walk through. He will clear the way. Every obstacle will be thrown down. What seemed hard for you alone, will be easy when you allow God to do what only He can in fulfilling His promises to you. What are you waiting for? It’s time to trust God and take possession of His promises to you. Let’s pray: Father, all Your promises are yes and amen. Help me stand on Your promises and watch You work in my life as I take possession of every promise You gave me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
