My scooter is still here....

In my previous post I explained that I was ready to sell my childhood scooter. It will be sad to see it go but it's time to let it go since I don't use it anymore. It's just taking up space and the extra money would help me.
I am in over 80 buying / selling groups on Facebook. Depending on how many photos I need to upload, it takes about 2 - 3 hours to post my ads. Time consuming but I prefer a wider audience.
In my previous post I said that someone wanted to buy my scooter. I also said "Not too excited yet as sometimes people suck at committing to a buy. Even worse, sometimes people don't even let me know if they will be late or coming at all."
On the day she ( the buyer ) was meant to come pick it up, and at the time she was meant to be here, I sent her a message asking if she was still coming and THEN she lets me know that she "Got held up and will need to pass." Would she have let me know herself if I hadn't of messaged her??
I KNOW things happen! I'm extremely understanding that things happen! But for goodness sakes! I'm getting so sick of spending hours posting items to sell, someone says they are eager to get it, I let them pick a day and time to grab the item. 9 times out of 10, they are late, or change their mind minutes before pick up time or don't show up at all without any messages to let me know.
It happens! Yes I know! But the ratio of dealing with inconsiderate people really outweighs the considerate people. If they are able to work their laptop or phone to comment "I want this please!" Then I'm sure they are capable to quickly let me know they are going to be late or not coming at all. Far out! She was apologetic and that was nice. I just don't understand why or how people leave things like that to the very last minute or way over the pick up time to let me know what's happening! It's just ( again ) inconsiderate to the person waiting for them to pick up! It happens A LOT! And the lies people tell to get out of a sale oh my goodness!
****photo of my scooter all folded up ready to go....back in the store room****

I ended up finding someone else to buy it. His little boy rode it around so I'm glad it's gone to a kid who will play with it.

@WorDazza You're right about that! I'm just having major issues accepting that at times.

@VivaLaDani13 It'll drive you mad if you don't come to terms with it. A few years back I started cutting those sort of people out of my life. There are some situations (i.e. work) where you can't avoid selfish idiots so why put yourself through it with people in your personal life?

@WorDazza I do agree with you. I mean I don't really have many friends or people to hang out with so I'm kinda safe there. But as far as seeing or hearing or experiencing randoms being that way, I know it's something I can never escape. I will pretty much always tolerate it while trying to sell my items. I've only flipped out twice on people who were being horrible. Out of over 10 years of selling online, I think that's pretty good lol

@Nakitakona There's no arguing coming from me.
I'm just saying, having worked with customers in a real job and hearing the stories from my dad who was a manager at a petrol station, you'd be surprised with how stupid customers can be. And how wrong they can actually be.

On the good side, it went to a little boy that will be enjoying it now. Everything turned out well.

People do not think and do not care. That was wrong of her not to let you know. It is very inconsiderate. I thought there was someone that came and bought it?

@Nevena83 It's been sold now. It was my goal to sell it as I don't use it anymore and really trying to get rid of as much stuff as I can. Too much stuff in this house.

I think the ones that upset me the most are those who give the impression they are ready to buy and they do come, but offer about a quarter of the asking price. Waste of my time and theirs. I generally tell them to have a nice safe trip home, turn and walk away. (I can assure you that is not what I am thinking inside.)

@cperry2 lol I'm glad you don't reveal what you're really thinking! But yes that would annoy me also! I've not dealt with that in particular before but I already know that would annoy me! I'm sorry you've dealt with that before!

I think that is the nature of the E generation persons. They not truthful enough whether they are buying or not. They seem to be very disappointing in deed.

@Treborika It is very disappointing. But believe it or not, anyone at any age has done this to me. The young, the middle aged, the elderly. Men and women. It's so annoying really.

@TheHorse I complain about this almost every time to my dad. It's happened to me 3 times just before the new year. It annoys me because I always ask them what day and time suits them so it's convenient for them. Yet somehow I still get the whole "I forgot." Or the complete no shows. Drives me nuts!
