A bit goofed up...

I called a Lyft this morning to take me to my appointment, which I thought was at nine fifteen.
When I got there, I was told no, my appointment was at 10:45.
So, I sat around a while, then I was told I could check in and maybe they'd take me early.
While I was waiting, I realized that I couldn't find my phone, and must have left it in the Lyft.
. So, that meant I couldn't call a Lyft to take me to work, and I'd have to leave earlier to take the bus.
They did take me early, but not early enough--while I was sitting in the exam room waiting for the doctor to arrive, I kept looking at the clock and wondering if I'd catch the bus/get to work on time.
So, I left the exam room and went back to the waiting room counter and rescheduled my appointment, then went out to wait for the bus. The bus came about ten to fifteen minutes later. No way would I have caught it if I had waited for the doctor to show up.
I did get to work some minutes early, but I have the sneaking suspicion that if I had waited I wouldn't have made it.
I had a bunch of stuff with me--my church clothes to change into and whatnot--as I thought I was working later this afternoon. Nope. My boss comes out and says during the kids' snack, "Well, you're done." Oops.
She drove me home, and I had time to walk and feed Angel.
Oh, well. If I hadn't planned for it, I know it would have been the opposite.

Not yet. I got an email saying the company would contact the driver I was with.

I have had that happen to me where I thought an appointment I had was at a certain time and it turned out to be later so I waited and read my book I brought with me.
