The Barretto news Filipinos should be talking about.

Philippine gossip and scandal are always hot topics, especially if celebrities such as movie actors and actresses are having flings or sordid affairs with filthy rich business people, married or not. The Barretto sisters are upfront with their steamy illicit affairs, defying norm and moral ascendancy, so long as the affairs benefit them monetarily. Sigh. That could be a conclusion since the siblings seem to know not the definition of genuine love. But that is not my story. I am more interested in one Barretto news but this Pinay is a scientist. She is based in New Zealand but she just discovered the biggest caldera located at Benham Rise. Yay.
A Filipina marine geophysicist has discovered the existence of what could be the world's largest caldera within Benham Rise. Current latest trending Philippine headlines on science, technology breakthroughs, hardware devices, geeks, gaming, web/desktop

Me, too. The caldera is indeed interesting. Here's hoping the family feud simmers down. None of the characters really win. The gripes can only bring further alienation and sadness.

A lot of that going on here too and a lot of high tide emotions that are not good for anyone to get into. You know Spain always does that kind of thing big time. Television stays mostly off today as it will be saturated with the not good stuff. Have a great day ahead in the best way you can.

A certain degree of fascination, I believe, when I heard the news. At least, I thought, the quarrel will tempotatily keep the Filipinos from their usual problems such as water crisis, hunger, traffic. and difficult situations to make ends meet. Ha ha, we take after Spain in many ways - including this fondness for scandals. Hu Hu. Just the same, have a good day, too.

@eileenleyva General Franco has been taken out of where he was buried and placed somewhere with his family in El Pardo so that makes for a lot of trouble as you can imagine. You do take after Spain in a lot of ways. Emotions have been running high across this country today.

@lovinangelsinstead21 Not privvy to the General Franco news and how it affects the people and the trouble the changing of burial grounds bring. However, I do hope the people find it in their hearts that a nation stands only when a people is united. The Philippines had been under Spain for four centuries, we have incorporated the Spanish way in our lives.

We should hurry up and procure more frigates, corvettes , Philippine coast guard ships and future submarines before someone gets greedy again Unlike the West Philippine sea islands that have many claimnants, our claim to Benham rise had been recognized by the U.N. since 2012. Btw the official name is Philippine Rise Baretto sisters quarrel? Who gives a sh.....

I love the name Philippine Rise. I didn't know it's the UN name for Benham Rise. Yes, our archipelago must be protected, and the genius of our people, too. Imagine, this scientist pursues her passion scholastically and gives berth for a country's pride. Yay. As to the quarreling siblings, the creature in the palace did. Birds of the same feather flock together.

For whatever the drama is worth, we are actually trying to pinpoint what psychological disorder the characters are afflicted with. Sometimes, people act in despicable ways because of serious mental illness.

Their stories really leave a foul taste to the mouth, but hey, the gossips are juicy. Just take it as fact of life although parents should keep a helicopter watch on thjeir children. Very bad examples indeed,

Does that mean a possible eruption? Interesting about the Barretto sisters. They sound really messed up.

Eruption is possible, I think. The Barretto sisters are physically beautiful. They are even sweet and accommodating in person, not the snobbish celebrities who think they are entitled. Met the youngest a few years back, in a restaurant called Rustic Mornings. Claudine quickly stood up and indulged for a souvenir photograph with me and my batchmates. Perhaps they are victims of the spotlight syndrome. She is the one on the right of the picture.
