By the 15th!

I woke up to a question in mine and my friend's group chat. "Are we still good for the 15th?" I kind of forgot we had agreed to do our annual cookie day earlier this year, but I said 'yes, we're all good." This does mean I"ll have to rethink some of my planning and I'll have to have everything purchased for gift exchange by mid November. Everything will have to be done by December 10th at the latest, and then I'll have to make the Potato Candy before I go to the cookie party. It's alright. I'm not somewhat freaking out or anything. Nope, not me. Atleast I was reminded well in advance. Do you already have a game plan for gift giving?

I would, but I'd doubt it'd be edible by the time it got to you.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Well that would defeat the point. Just road trip and come see me. We can go book shopping!

@ShyBear88 Yes, I am trying to do more verydice but sometimes I forget or just do not feel like it. I have a bunch saved on my favorites though. Most of the things I want to get are big ticketed items. I saw somewhere about how this lady would buy a gift card if she had a bit of money left over in a grocery trip. Like maybe she budgeted to spend $150 but ended up spending only $125.00. She'd buy a $25 gift card to a restaurant, or the grocery store, or any other place that she or a family member liked. That was her "rainy day" money.

@LovingMyBabies That will be a nice income for you though, and I'm sure it will help with gift buying.

Ah okay, yeah I don't blame you for not being focused on the gift giving aspect of the Christmas season yet. Will the winter season be busy for your photography business?

I have a lot of time to plan what I am going to buy but I will have to buy it as soon as I get the money to do so. I was going to wait until I got paid from mylot but I may have to do it earlier in the month instead.

Since you forgot, it is good that you got that message. Just think if you wouldn't have recieved it untill like three days or so before the event. What is potato candy made with, I've never heard of it before.

@sweetashoney Oh it is definitely yummy. My friends and I have been doing a cookie day for the past few years. I made it the very first year and they were intrigued. It's a recipe my aunt got from a friend of hers years and years ago.

Potato Candy is made with.. Potatoes, powdered sugar, and peanut butter. Butter and vanilla extract is also used. Which reminds me, I need to make sure I get more vanilla extract. It's very yummy but very sweet. A batch of potato candy requires about a lb of sugar. A batch being about a dozen or so pieces.
